4.8.4 Tools Menu
The Tools menu (Figure 30) is subdivided into four parts:

Pre Automatic Deformation
Before the button “2. Deform Atlases” is pressed by the user, the functions in the menu “Pre
Automatic Deformation” can be used.

Points in the fovea (for the creation of the initial atlas), and in the boundaries between
retinotopic visual areas (for the creation of the atlas and/or for the deformation proc-
ess) can be specified.
·
It is also possible to set noisy regions in the measured phase-wedge image to NaN6.
Regions that are NaN (in the measured phase image, in the measured coherence image,
or in the atlas image) are not used in the matching process. Therefore, noisy regions
that would influence the matching process in an unwanted way can be excluded. The
last function allows including all previously excluded regions.
