The deformation of the atlas images is defined through displacement fields. In the
matching process, displacement values are only assigned to a subset of pixels, called
control points. Based on the displacement fields of the control points, the full dis-
placement fields for all pixels can be calculated. The command Control Points and
Displacement Field displays control point locations as well as displacement values. In
addition, the corresponding measured phase and deformed atlas images are shown.
The color-coded displacement fields are images where the entries of the displacement
fields for horizontal and vertical direction are color-coded depending on their values.
The magnitude of the 2D displacement vector is also color-coded in a third image.

The last three commands allow viewing animations of deforming atlases and deform-
ing visual-area ROIs. The first command only needs the resulting displacement fields.
The other two commands need recorded images. These recordings are made during the
