Novel Methods for the Visualization and Analysis of Functional Maps in Cortex

Flat Maps 25 3.7.6 mrLoadRet mrLoadRet is a fMRI data analysis program [2001 #41]. It allows the cortex to be displayed in three different views: · Inplane Window – Shows low-resolution anatomical inplanes; intrinsically aligned functional data can be overlaid. · Volume/Gray Window – The volume view shows the high-resolution anatomical data. The gray view shows only the segmented gray matter nodes from the high-resolution data set. Functional data can be overlaid. · Flat Window – Shows an unfolded section of the high-resolution gray matter. Func- tional data can be overlaid onto the flattened gray matter. Regions-of-interest (ROIs) can be defined and statistical/data analysis techniques can be used to analyze the data. Figure 10: mrLoadRet’s FLAT window
