5.3 Marking Visual Areas
Once the atlas images that contain phase values have been deformed to match the correspond-
ing measured images, the computed displacement fields are used to deform an atlas image that
has annotations about the visual areas.
This atlas image is called ROIs image (Figure 45). The regions of interests for the vis-
ual areas are encoded as defined here:
